Winter Seed Sowing in Milk Jugs

Description: Come learn an easy way to sow your hardy plant seeds outside using containers that you may already have in your home. Once sown and placed outside, they require almost no care until warmer weather when they sprout. This is a demonstration so no materials will be supplied but the instructor will show you what to use to make it easy to plant lots of seeds.

This program is a a UD Seed Library Program, in partnership with the Ambler-Keystone Branch of The Woman's National Farm & Garden Association  & the Maple Glen Garden Club.

Presenter: Cindy Nuss has a B.S. degree in microbiology from The Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in biology from Villanova University. After working for 35 years as a research biologist, she retired and went back to school to become an ecological landscape designer. She is certified in horticulture by the Barnes Foundation School of Horticulture, Ecological Gardening by the Mt. Cuba Center, Conservation Design by Keystone Conservation and Permaculture by the Eastern PA Permaculture Guild. She is active with Wyncote Audubon, Bird Town, and the Women’s National Farm & Garden Association and the Hardy Plant Society.
