Description:
Cop Camp Cadets are taught teamwork, lessons in personal safety, respect for themselves and respect for others, as they participate in exciting well-organized police activities. The result is camaraderie and lasting friendships with local police officers. We encourage cadets to respect the law, stand-up to peer pressure and avoid the lure of vandalism, petty theft and substance abuse. We are encouraging applications from enthusiastic well-disciplined kids. Each day begins with roll call, Pledge of Allegiance, a civics lesson, academy-style marching and an exercise session. Cadets are required to participate in physical activities and regimented police training. Many exciting sessions are scheduled, including first aid, a SWAT demo, a bomb squad demo, K-9 handlers, police motorcycles, bicycle safety, criminal investigations and a mock court trial. Group pictures, official Cop Camp shirts and ball caps are issued to all participants. Free meals & snacks will be provided.
